Adventure and Achievement at Whitemoor Lakes

Adventure, Teamwork and New Challenges
Our Year 6 pupils recently took part in an exciting residential at Whitemoor Lakes, wher they embraced a wide range of outdoor activities designed to build confidence, resilience and teamwork. From the moment they arrived, pupils showed enthusiasm and positivity, eager to make the most of every opportunity.
Throughout the visit, children took part in high-adrenaline activities such as zip lining, canoeing across the lake and traversing. Sailing sessions added a new dimension of challenge as pupils learnt to work in the wind and navigate as a team. The popular challenge course encouraged problem-solving and collaboration with pupils supporting one another every step of the way.
Evening Fun and Shared Experiences
The adventure continued into the evenings with lively team games and activities that helped pupils unwind and enjoy time together. Laughter, encouragement and teamwork filled the atmosphere as friendships strengthened and new memories were made.
Mealtimes provided a welcome chance to refuel after busy days. Favourites such as chicken strips and chips, served with corn and salad, were enjoyed by all, followed by a well deserved chocolate pudding.
A Memorable Milestone for Year 6
Staff accompanying the trip were incredibly proud of the pupils’ courage, determination and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. The Whitemoor Lakes residential has been celebrated as a key milestone in the Year 6 journey, an experience that has equipped pupils with new skills, boosted their confidence and created memories they will carry forward into their final months at primary school.
