On 5th March 2026, Three Peaks Primary Academy was transformed into a vibrant celebration of stories, imagination and the magic of reading. Our corridors and classrooms buzzed with excitement as pupils and staff arrived dressed as characters who seemed to have stepped straight out of the pages of their favourite books.

Creative Costumes: Words and Characters

From magical wizards and brave superheroes to much‑loved classic storybook characters, the creativity on display was incredible.

We were also delighted to see many children dressing up as a word, bringing vocabulary to life through imaginative and thoughtful costume ideas. Whether pupils chose a word or a character, every costume added to the joy and energy of the day.

Book Swap Success

Another highlight was our very popular Book Swap. Pupils brought in books they had finished reading and exchanged them for new stories to enjoy at home. It was wonderful to see how proudly they selected their next adventure and shared recommendations with friends. It was a fantastic way to promote a love of reading across our school community.

A huge well done and thank you to all our pupils, families and staff for making World Book Day such a memorable celebration. Your enthusiasm, effort and creativity made the day truly special.
